Our Director, Grant Symmans, began his marine career well over 30 years ago as an apprentice with the renowned designer and boatbuilder, Don Senior. Working alongside one of New Zealand's most respected boatbuilders, Grant developed a deep knowledge of boat construction, design and innovation skills that have shaped his reputation and business ever since.

In the early 2000s, Grant founded G&T Marine, bringing his passion for precision and quality to life under his own banner. Since then, G&T Marine has built an impressive range of vessels, including several iconic Don Senior Mono-hulls and Roger Hill catamarans - boats celebrated for their performance, style and seaworthiness.

But our expertise dosen't stop at new builds. G&T Marine is also highly experienced in major boat refits and restorations. Handling everything from structural upgrades to system overhauls and complete cosmetic transformations.
